About the Author:

Maria Tymoczko is professor of comparative literature at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She is coeditor of Translation and Power, editor of Translation, Resistance, Activism, and author of Enlarging Translation, Empowering Translators.

Nancy Blackmun is a psychoanalyst in private practice in Framingham, Massachusetts, whose research and practice have focused on the relationships between adult personality and the context of childhood an environmental factors that shape individual character, as well as on psychohistory and applied psychoanalysis.
