Contains a list of characters and the actors who portray them. There follows a detailed "programme of scenery and incidents, summarizing the action for each of the five parts, ending with "Contentment! Liberty! Happiness! Finale!" At foot is an ad by the publisher of the novel, Philips, Sampson & Co. for the novel in 2 volumes, with nearly one hundred thousand c opies sold. Small stain in topmost margin with minor creasing.
