About this Item

Hardback book bound in black cloth-covered boards with gilt title on the front. Book shows wear at spine and lower corners. Book is INSCRIBED AND SIGNED BY THE EDITOR to his secretary. Book contains the first 4 issues and perhaps only issues of The Boulevard, the Official Journal of the Sixth Avenue Association issued in November, 1931; March, 1932; June, 1932 and Autumn, 1934. The intention of the Journal was to promote the Sixth Avenue businesses. In addition to advertisements, there are stories on R-K-O Theatres; Radio City; Elevated Railroad and Subway and many other topics that promoted this area of New York City. The first Journals each have 32 pages while the Autumn issue has 64 pages. A very rare look at the development of Sixth Avenue, New York during the Great Depression. Perhaps only example of these four uncirculated magazines bound together. Bookseller Inventory # 012316
