Leffall joined the faculty of Howard University in 1962, and was actively practicing medicine and teaching up to 2013. He was the first black president of both the American Cancer Society and the American College of Surgeons. Octavo. 216 pages. Photo-portrait dust jacket with over black cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering to spine. Jacket shows light creasing along corners and spine ends. Boards are sturdy in square.
