First Edition. A shooting script from the personal library of James Cagney with his bookplate laid in. The film starred James Cagney, Bette Davis, Stuart Erwin, Jack Carson, George Tobias, and was directed by William Keighley. Cagney plays Steve Collins, a publicity hungry broadcaster who charters a plane for eloping lovers, but cuts a deal with the girlÕs father, agreeing to deliver her home, unmarried, C.O.D., however, the plane crashes and Cagney is stuck in the desert with the angry bride, and comic adventures follow. This partial shooting script is 106 pages, bound with brads in orange wrappers, with the typing Ò12/30/40 PART I, REV. FINALÓ. With a few blue rewrite pages and pencil corrections and additions to some of the pages. Very good. From the auction sale of James CagneyÕs estate.
