Book Description Bufano Society of the Arts; Weatherhill, Inc, San Francisco and Tokyo, 1968. Hardcover. Early printing. Thin folio. Silver cloth over boards with gilt lettering on the spine and front cover, and a gilt stamped hand design on the front cover. Black endpapers. With numerous plates at the rear, many in color. Near fine. With the publisher's clear wrapper, in very good condition. The plastic edges are chipped, with loss. "Like Casals and Picasso, Bufano is a dedicated artist. He lives only for his work, which is an expression of his love for human kind. Penniless the greater part of his life, he has nevertheless traveled about the world, from one corner to the other, with the ease of a bird of flight. He travels without impedimenta, sleeps with prince or beggar, is at home in any land." - Henry Miller. Seller Inventory # 42235
