Full leather (18th-century binding with 20th-century restoration and spine?) with six spine compartments between raised bands. Gilt-tooled title in second compartment: "Builder." Inscription in an old hand on front free endpaper: "Beeby Bowmans Book 1774." Bookplate on front fixed endpaper of William B. O'Neal. Beeby Bowman, presumably the original owner, was quite likely the joiner of that name who was a Quaker in Allonby, Cumberland, England in 1781. Lacking final 3 plates; otherwise in Very Good- Condition: slightly cocked; leather is rubbed; archival repair to hinges; scattered light soiling; 7-cm. tear in lower left-hand corner of plate 24, without loss; small tears from edges of a few plates, not touching image.
