Advertisement for 11th edition of author's previous work "Sex in Education; or, a Fair Chance for Girls" opposite title page. 153 pages. Slight tear in back flyleaf. The author was a prominent professor at Harvard Medical School, and his theories about the relationship of female physiology and education set forth in the aforementioned "Sex in Education" were controversial at the time. In this volume, the author further supports his assertion that educators must take into consideration the "periodicity" of female physiology or risk the health of their female students.
