Part 1 - 'Mason's Work' is the Third Edition published in 1898 containing some 413 pages plus an extensive Index--260 illustrations. Part 2 - 'Carpenter's Work' is the Second Edition published in 1899 containing some 535 pages plus an extensive Index--525 illustrations. Just about everything you would need to know to build one of those marvelous Victorian homes from the turn-of-the-century. If you study these two books you will discover the complexity of the building of those homes. Mason's book with light overall wear--some speckling to the covers--about VERY GOOD. Carpenter's book with discoloration to the front cover--some paper adhering to the front cover; covers speckling--about GOOD. Each book in very nice internal condition with undamaged hinges. Fourth Edition of Part 1 [dated 1900], Fourth Edition of Part II [dated 1902], probable first edition dated 1906 of Part III Section 1, which was completed shortly after Kidder's death. A clean, unmarked, undamaged matching set with even color to cloth and bright spine gilt. Volume 1has 3/16" fray along lower part of foredge of front board, and rear hinge is weak and beginning to crack. Volume II has a 1/8" area of fraying at bottom of front board, rear hinge cracked through. Volume III has solid hinges but is fraying at top and bottom of spine and at tips, particularly lower tip opf front board. Foreign postage will be extra, about $30 to $75.
