Short works of fiction and memoir, humor and drama. "So far, the Library staff has not asked us to leave, not even said 'Shush!' or requested us to move out into the parking lot. This is surprising, since when we meet there every week to review our works in progress, our critiques, suggestions and humor can often become quite animated—and loud! About the Author:
After careers (some concurrent) as an urban planner, college professor, businessman, and ad executive, I am finally doing what I always wanted: to write, and am having the time of my life. My work usually shades toward humorous fiction, creating characters who, odd as it sounds, need no help getting into situations all on their own--leaving me to just 'report' on their doings.
A novel, which my writing group seems to not be able to get enough of, is nearing completion. Its working title is "The Gospel of Ted," but that may change. Stay tuned.
My one venture into real life is a soon-to-be-published memoir, "Stringy Brisket," which answers the question of how a person whose mother couldn't cook (hence the title) winds up convincing his wife to become a restaurant critic. -- Michael J. Gordon
