Synopsis: S A Butler presents us with his notions, observations and stories all of which rhyme effectively in comfortable verse. These morsels have the feeling of familiarity and some will linger beyond the page. His “Awaken the Wood” appeared in Fine Woodworking Magazine’s Blog, “Samuel Seddon’s Tavern” was seen in “Newburyport Magazine” and his poem “A Good Walk” was selected for ‘Walt’s Corner’ in “The Long Islander Newspaper”. His interests include the theatre. He is a member of one of the oldest theatre clubs in the country whose productions have been mounted annually since 1884. Originally from Bangor, Maine, he makes annual visits to the Pine Tree State. He resides on Long Island with his wife, has two daughters and a dog and a cat.
About the Author: A Bangor, Maine native, S A Butler has a lifelong affection for that State. He is a graduate of Emerson College in Boston; dogwoods in bloom, gaslights and snow falling on Beacon Hill are etched in him. A theatre hopeful, residential years in Manhattan provided plenty of drama though little of it actually on Broadway! A cabinet shop, a restaurant and a design center has kept his life a busy one. He resides on Long Island with his wife, two daughters, a dog and a cat! S A still enjoys the theatre and is a member of one of the country’s oldest amateur theatre clubs. He enjoys the company of his family and good friends as well as travel, reading, writing and listening to music. And life-affirming “good walks” in the woods!
