About this title

Clinton Derricks is an authority and avid collector on golliwog dolls, which are very popular in England. Many view golliwogs as an important segment of black social history in the western world; while others may consider that they perpetuate a negative image of blacks in society.

About the Author:

Clinton Derricks is an actor, singer and producer who lives in Los Angeles. His acting credits are extensive and include the hugely popular drama series Roots, as well as theatre credits on Broadway and London's West End. He has been collecting black collectables for over fifteen years and is widely recognised as a world authority on the subject. He has written numerous articles on black collectables and the relevance of black collectables to the black community for newspapers and magazines. He has also appeared on television in the US in a debate on the political implications of these black collectable items.
