The book is a trade size paperback with photo of a bird dog on the cover. Book shows slight edge wear. Name and date of former owner on top on title page. Book is SIGNED BY ALAIN JOHNSON ( C. A. JOHNSON). on the title page. Johnson was the youngest commissioned postmaster in the United States, the youngest Worshipful Master in Kansas and served in several elected positions and spent over forty years of his life in an effort to improve and propagate the English Setter for hunting upland birds.
