About this Item

4to. (8.5 x 11") 34p. Profusely illustrated with black and white captioned photos and period ads, including some in color. Stapled booklet in color pictorial wrappers. Extremities show hardly any wear, just a hint of rust on the staples, corners square and with one just starting to turn up, else very good to near fine. The previous owner has filled in the middle Scorebook pages in a neat hand and with lots of additional information, e.g., the attendance at that game: 14, 372. This is a program from one of the home games against the Washington Senators, Sep. 2, 3 or 4, 1966, during the first season in Anaheim. Booklet also includes the 1966 American League Baseball Review, as well as several articles as follows: Anaheim's Series Heritage by Hugh B. Baker; Sweet Smell of Success by Eddie West (which includes a picture taken at Opening Day Ceremonies of all the notables associated with the California Angels, including Gene Autry, Bill Rigney and Robert O. Reynolds); Angels Pitching Staff--A Rookie/Vet Combo by unknown author; short bios of Selva Lewis Burdette, John Stanley Sanford and George Stuart Brunet; and Angels Brassland by Doug Miles, which features pictures and descriptions of the top brass: Ced Tallis, Fred Haney, Harold Parrott and Marv Mkilkes. Lots of other statistics and baseball information. Bookseller Inventory # 005758
