Description:

Signed. First Edition. Wetjen was a prolific writer, living in Oregon (both Harrisburg and Salem) during the first several years of his writing life. One odd touch--he wrote in the dark by touch on a typewriter, apparently because he used to write at night in a shack near Salem. Signed & inscribed by author to "Billy and Kate" with a personal note. Black cloth with grey chain motif. Wetjen would win the O. Henry prize two years later. Bookseller Inventory #
