Before he became the first Poet Laureate of New Hampshire, Illinoisan Mowrer was a foreign correspondent for the Chicago Daily News, and was awarded the first Pulitzer Prize for Correspondence in 1928. Later he was Editor-in-Chief of the Chicago Daily News. His second wife was Hadley Richardson Hemingway. Blurbs from George Dillon, Lew Sarett, Arnold Gingrich, Sterling North, Janet Ayer Fairbank.
