Very minor wear to extremities, very minor dampstain to extreme lower right corner of first few pages of textblock, else very good and better. No dust jacket. Margaret (Smith) Sawtell grew up in Detroit, the daughter of automotive pioneer Samuel L. Smith, and moved to Boston in 1920. She was president of Denison House, a settlement house in Boston¿s South End, and of the Women¿s Educational and Industrial Union, also in Boston.
