About this Item

Illustrated red cloth, 768pp. Illustrated with b&w illustrations and photos and sections of sepia toned photos, and color frontispiece. "To the Boys of the Empire upon which the Sun never sets." We suspect this is the bound volume of a year's worth of a magazine for young boys. Packed with short stories and serialized novels with titles such as "Roaring Saws," "N'Kubwa the Terrible," and "The Foiled Air Raid," Articles on sports, movie stars, aviation, and even writers, like P.G. Wodehouse. Something of an As Is copy. Spine with slight fading, tearing at top&bottom and along edges. Staining to back cover; front cover illustration still bright but a little faded and soiled along edges and slight bowing to board. Corners bent and wearing through. Endpapers yellowed. Gift inscription (1933) on front free endpaper. Blindstamped on rear free endpapers. Hinges cracked and breaking. Frontispiece with vertical crease down center and speckling to back. Title page yellowed with vertical crease down center and small rip in center. Pages naturally yellowed with a little bit of foxing, occasional bent corners or small tears in the margin. 4 pages detached with tears, creases, and wrinkling at edges. Overall binding is pretty sound and tight. Bookseller Inventory # KL461
