Cortes das folhas dourados e com o nome do autor, Plavtvs, inscrito nos cortes das margens laterais. Ilustrado no centro da folha de rosto com a marca do impressor ladeada pela respectiva divisa: Virtvte Dvce. Comite Fortvna. Exemplar com falta da lombada, a pasta posterior solta e a anterior quase solta, as duas ressequidas e com manchas nas folhas. Edição quinhentista em miniatura, impressa em Lyon, França, com o texto impresso em minúsculos, mas muito nítidos, e belíssimos caracteres itálicos. A obra contêm uma biografia de Plauto e as vinte comédias completas que nos chegaram deste autor. Tito Mácio Plauto, em latim, Titus Maccius Plautus (Sarsina, cerca de 230 a.C. - 180 a.C.) foi um dramaturgo romano, que viveu durante o período republicano. As suas vinte peças, que se preservaram até aos nossos dias, datam do período entre os anos de 205 a.C. e 184 a.C. e são das mais antigas em latim e quase todas adaptações de modelos gregos para o público romano, tal como ocorria na mitologia e na arquitectura romanas.
