Weird shorts by a French Canadian, translated by Michael Bullock (1918-2008), the last of the surrealists, who has signed this copy of the limited edition hardcover. While pursuing her Master's degree in French Literature at Laval University, Charbonneau-Tissot worked in a psychiatric hospital, which influence colors all these tales of insanity in confrontation with an invisible other-reality. The author, who also published under the simple nom de plume "Aude," was a recipient of the Governor General's Literary Award, the ELLE Quebec Readers' Award, Prix France-Quebec and Prix Paris-Quebec awards, the Grand Prix du Livre de Montreal, and the Prix des Librares.
