Brown hardcover cloth binding clean, square and tight. Minimal shelfwear top, bottom of spines. Inscribed by Dorothy Lyons ffep: " Hello, hello to Peg. Dorothy Lyons 10/29/77". Clean and tight interior. There is some staining side outside edges of pages. DJ has lots of shelfwear, chips, closed tears although Wesley Dennis cover illustrationdisplays nicely. A couple of large chips top and middle of spine - protected from further damage in clean Brodart jacket. DJ flaps all have small corner clips, but price of $2.50 on front flap. List of 11 Stories for Girls on back of jacket includes description of three other Lyons titles: Midnight Moon, Silver Birch, and Golden Sovereign. 232 pages. A continuation of the story Golden Sovereign by the same author. In this one, Connemara McGuire of Shamrock Stables rescues a thoroughbred with a broken leg, nurses him back to soundness, and with the help of her friends Tom and Di, gets Copper Khan to the races. Scarce title iin DJ, but even more scarce Lyons inscription as she rarely signed books. Bookseller Inventory # 011298
