About this title

Synopsis:

Sixteen-year-old Cooper regrets her decision to break up with Jason and jeopardizes her modeling career after sticking to her Christian beliefs during a risky photo shoot

About the Author:

Thankfully, no one stays a teenager forever, and we manage to leave behind the turbulence of those years for adult life. But some of us retain a heart for young people...a special ability to reach teens at their level and communicate in ways they can understand. Wendy Lee Nentwig is one of those gifted people.

Growing up in the beautiful San Francisco Bay area, Wendy watched lots of television and read everything she could find. In the process, she became a storehouse of pop culture trivia, along with beginning to develop her own unique writing style. That style was also greatly shaped by her new found faith, thanks to an insistent friend's repeated invitation to church.

She became both, serving as editor-in-chief of her college newspaper, where she also wrote a regular column. After graduating from Biola University with a degree in journalism, Wendy spent a month in Amsterdam on a short-term missions trip and determined to return. Fifteen months later, she did just that, and spent the next two years in Amsterdam working with teens at the Crossroads International Church and traveling throughout Europe.

Back in the U.S., Wendy landed a job as assistant editor of Virtue magazine, spent nine months at the Center for the Study of Popular Culture in Washington, D.C., and completed an editorial internship at Seventeen magazine in New York City. Along the way, she continued to refine her writing style, and experienced the joy of seeing her work in print with the publication of her first two novels for teens, Freshman Blues and Spring Break.

Wendy currently makes her home in Tennessee, where she serves as the managing editor of Aspire magazine. She has continued to work with teens at her local church and contributes regularly to CCM magazine. The Unmistakably Cooper Ellis series is Wendy's first for Bethany House. Her most recent addition to the series is Subway Tokens in the Sand, Book 3.
