Book Description Biobooks; Oakland, CA, 1951. Hardcover. Book Condition: Fine. 1st Edition. This 8.0 x 10.75, 109-page hardcover book is the first edition of this title as first published in 1951 as number 26 in the Biobooks series. This copy is in fine condition with only two very minor condition issues to mention. There is a very small one-sixteenth spot on the front blue cover material and a very small bump to the lower front cover. Beyond that the book is in as new condition, with no wear or handling damage to be seen. The author has used historic accounts to document the story of Army Colonel J.D. Stevenson and his group of soldiers into California in 1847-1848. The book contains considerable information on the members of the army force as well as a nice summary of the California Relations series' as published by Biobooks in the back.
