Extremely rare find on the life of Calvin. "New Edition" so stated. Very slight wear on top and bottom edges of spine. No other wear or marks except former owner's name and one sentance underscored inside. Front inner hingle slightly cracked but stitching and rear hinge are tight. Spine has gilt stamp of title. Front cover has black imprint for decorative corners. Sampling of chapters: Calvin was the most Eminent of all the reformers, and Remarkable for His Courage, The Genius and Work of Calvin, Calvin vindicated from the Charge of Ambition, and his true Greatness and wonderful Influence shown, Calvin vindicated from the Charge of Illiberality, Intolerance, and Persecution, etc. 14 most enlightening chapters plus Appendix including the testimony of a Unitarian, Calvin's Ordination, his Mission to Brazil, etc. Search long and hard and it will be difficult to find this book elsewhere.
