Colonial South Carolina. Illustrations include the hand and crown of Queen Anne, a mandolin in Exeter House, a lute in the possession of the Lesesne Family of Charleston, Exeter House, Colonel William Rhett's rapier, a paten of beaten silver in St. Philip's Church, Charleston, and portraits of Sir Nathaniel Johnson, with facsimile signature, Lady Johnson, and Colonel William Rhett.
