Noticed to the inside cover on brown end-page " To mother with my love B. 1925", also within one image is ‘R.A.F. Official Photograph’. It would seem the first editions were not dated, so believe this to be a First Edition of the photographic images by A. Kerim of Baghdad in the early 1920s. Views include: Ashar Creek, Whiteley Bridge Ashar Creek Basrah, Sheikh Gazal Market Ashar Basrah, The Shrine of Sheikh Omar, the Tomb of Sit Hobaida, Kadimain the Holy City, The golden domes and minarets of the Kadimain Mosque, the entrance gate to the Kadimain Mosque, pilgrims with their camels on the way to Kerbala, ancient musical instruments,Ctesiphon as it looks from an aeroplane ‘R.A.F. Official Photograph’ (by the binders mistake there are 2 full page images of this photograph), the Ruins of Babylon- Temple of Marduk, Tenish money changers at Baghdad, An Sheikh, Kurdish Lady in her best costume, a group of Assyrian Mountaineers and lots more. So looks this is an incomplete copy of this famous book, undated but either 1923 ,4 or 1925. I can bring it to the London Photograph fairs, only if contacted beforehand. Size: 24.5 x 32cm Approx.
