About this Item

151 & 102 p. Ornate decorated: Dark green cloth over boards; black designs. Gold title box, spine; raised green lettering (only "Camille"). Stylin' "Arlington Edition" raised lettering, front. Two novels in single volume; two authors. Dumas's translator not listed. Arlington Edition list on back of otherwise unadorned jacket. The high current quality of this book's cover is rare for Arlington Editions. The lovely Camille, 18, is first seen by the narrator in a French theater. Clerk Barton's Crime is a shorter novel set in New York City, The junior clerk at a "bag house" is 17. This tale is set at a 2-column format. At back of book, 4 pages publisher lists: Instrumental Music; Marryat's Novels; Works of Sir Edward Lytton Bulwer; Library of Popular Fiction. Very good in fair dust jacket. Remarkably good cover condition: bright and clean. Tight. Jacket soiled with edge wear; it did its job protecting book. Lower book page block, soil spot. First free end paper mostly torn out, missing. Age-toning. Bookseller Inventory # Alibris.F0810005934

Store Description

Hi, Folks ... Mom said, 'I need to downsize'. Moving to assisted living, what she couldn't take included 8,000-plus books & records. A decade later, my upcountry barn is bursting. Books multiply as others recycle priorities. I now have 30,000 or more books (not yet all online) looking for good homes, and my learning curve has been a roller coaster. I celebrate word-crafters, thought-tumblers, laughter ... the arts of communication at every turn. I preserve, protect, and share. I am also Hedgehog Publishing, 'Words & Pictures by & for Folks with Prickly Backs, Soft Bellies, & Small Brains'.
