George H. Doran Company, NY. The story of Canadian forces in the first two years of WWI on the Western Front. They saw action at Givenchy and especially Ypres. Through 30 November 1915 Canadians had suffered over 13,000 casualties. The introdution was written by the Canadian Prime Minster Robert Borden. No printed date but the based on the preface and introduction dates the book is circa 1915. Fold outmap of Ypres. Good+ copy of the first edition. The book has a small 1 inch shelf mark on the front cover and someone used a small amount glue on the top of the spine to stablize the binding. No dust jacket. 245 pages.
