Synopsis: Canada's Heritage through Food and Wine is a collection of recipes which have been passed down from one generation to the next. The book has 4 main sections: Soups, Salads and Sides; Breads; Main Meals; and Desserts. Each Canadian who contributed a recipe divulged a little of the recipe's past. The people who tested each recipe also provided comments. Part of this book's uniqueness are the wine recommendations for each main dish, as well as suggestions for appetizer and dessert wines. The wine choices are selected from award winning, world renowned British Columbian Wineries.
About the Author: Diane Finlayson enjoys writing about nature and animals. Her love of Canada and its foods and wines greatly influenced her during the making of this heritage cookbook. She lives and works in the Okanagan Valley with her family and many pets.
Shelley Kitching has been writing romance fiction for five years, and cofounded Lovescape the Romantic Novella Magazine two years ago. Compiling a cookbook was an opportunity to turn her love of cooking and baking into a writing project. She resides in Kelowna, BC with her dog Moonshadow.
