About this Item

Hardcover with dust jacket; Riverside Bookshelf edition. The boards are red with navy lettering and emblem on the spine. The spine ends are bumped with minor rubbing at the corners and there is a small amount of discoloration on the upper back boards and the top outside page edges. The hinges and binding are firm and the 437 pages are clean and unmarked. There are also four full-page color illustrations throughout the book. The mylar protected dust jacket has minor chipping and open tears along the spine ends, edges and corners with the largest being 1/4" X 1/4". The cover features a full color illustration of Captain Blood looking at a burning vessel from his ship on the high seas. The spine and parts of the back cover are discolored and the original price of $4.95 is still on the front end flap. This historical novel brings back the swashbuckling heroes of the Spanish Main with Captain Peter Blood in a series of high sea adventures that include breath-taking escapes, sword fighting and "walking the plank". A very presentable copy of an exciting book. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Bookseller Inventory # 001452
