About the Author: David Capuzzi, PhD, NCC, LPC, is a faculty emeritus of Walden and professor emeritus of Portland State University in Portland, Oregon. He is the 2019 recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Association for Counselor Education and Supervision. A prolific author and journal editor, he is also a frequent speaker and keynoter at professional conferences and institutes as well as a consultant for a variety of school districts and community agencies.
