About this title

A New York Times Bestselling Author

When Ike Grantham paid her for her graphic design work with a run-down nineteenth-century carriage house on Boston's North Shore, and then disappeared, Tess found herself with much more than a weekend project. It's not just the rumors that the house is haunted. It's the neighbors: six-year-old Dolly, her reclusive babysitter, and her father, Andrew Thorne, who has his own ideas about why Tess has turned up next door.

Available only in Americana 4 & 5.

From the Author:

Readers often ask where I get an idea for a book, and I have to say, I seldom can pin it down. Not so with THE CARRIAGE HOUSE. I actually grew up in a late 18th century New England carriage house, complete with a trap door and a dirt cellar. We had the occasional stray mouse and snake down there, but, mercifully, no human skeletons. Tess's carriage house is mid-19th century, on the coast and reportedly haunted -- but when she opens that trap door and peers down into her dirt cellar...I really do know what that's like! Hope you enjoy the book, and thanks.
