Lovely Chromolithograph Plate on Frontis illustrated with a Gentleman tracing a romantic message for his young Lady in the snow, protected by Tissue Guard. First Serial Story " The Tenth Earl" by John Berwick Harwood. Articles include "Native Cavalry Games in Upper India", Fashion etc. Many B&W In-Text Illustrations and some Full Page Plates. Attractive Contemporary Black Half-Leather Binding with Grey Pebbled Cloth and Leather Corners. 5 Gilt Decorated Raised Bands to Spine. Bright Gilt Lettering in 2nd Compartment and Blind stamped Decoration in others. Page edges Speckled Red. Previous owner's name faintly visible on endpaper. A little foxing to tile page, other pages in very good, clean condition. Slight wear to leather at tips of corners and spine ends. Hinges sound & Binding firm.
