About this title

A Cat Named Monkey is about three very unlikely friends who become the very best of friends. There are few things stronger than true friendship. That is what Monkey and Harold believe. Their friend , BooBeeps, is missing and they don't know where she could be. The two friends frantically search everywhere but the weather and the night prevent them from searching further . The next morning, Monkey continues to look for his friend. He doesn't find BooBeeps but he does find a clue to where she is and he rushes back home to Harold with the news. A cat, a mouse and a bird share true friendship in A Cat Named Monkey.

From the Publisher:

Marianna Fiani was born and raised in Staten Island, New York. She always wanted a bull dog while growing up and was afraid of cats. Now she has a mane coon cat named Paizon (she calls him Monkey) that she simply adores. For the past five years, Marianna has been a Kindergarten teacher in Lakewood, NJ and has spent over 15 years as an educator. Wanting to write a children's story was always a dream for her. Her daughter, Kristen, college-bound was her inspiration. A Cat Named Monkey, although a children's book, was written for all the mothers with broken hearts as their children leave for college. They do come home, just as BooBeeps does in the spring. Marianna currently resides in Forked River, New Jersey with her husband, Anthony, and Paizon. Kristen lives in the Washington, DC area where she works as a federal government contractor. She'll be coming home in the spring.
