Three-quarter gilt stamped red leather and pebbled burgundy cloth over boards; Volume I, black-and-white frontispiece, cxii, 312 pages, 35 plates (one side of page only). Worn at spine ends and corners, some foxing on end papers, front hinge loose/cracked, title page separating at gutter, rear hinge loose/cracked; Volume II, pages 313-687, Plate numbers XXXVI-LXXVII, black-and-white frontispiece, Index of Emperors & Dynasts, Index of Mints, General Index (including Types), index of Remarkable Inscriptions, Alphabetical list of Emperors etc. with dates, Chronological list of Emperors. Corners and spine ends bumped, stain on most of the spine and leather part of the back cover, some small spots on cloth, cloth on back cover rubbed at bottom edge, some light foxing on end papers, both hinges cracked (binding sound).
