About this Item

Near Very Good, internally clean, solid hard cover First Printing in original cloth. The top 1/3 inch of the spine cloth is gone and there are a couple of other small peices missing from the spine. Some light stains to the covers. This copy belonged to Edmund Flagg, newspaperman, author and diplomat, whose papers are at the University of Missouri. A 19th Century address label to Edmund Flagg, Department of State is pasted on the endpaper. At the time of publication he was US Consul in Venice. Bookseller Inventory # 17093
