Printed wraps. 72 pp. plus black and white illustrated plates throughout. A bookseller catalog from the British firm Ellis (although at the time owned by J.J. Holdsworth and George Smith). With a history of the company from its establishment by the bookbinder John Brindley down to the early 1900s. The catalog features many rare books on various subjects, with many illustrations of the books or manuscripts featured. GOOD condition. Heavy browning along the hinges and spine, with otherwise uneven browning to the wraps. A few small drip stains to the rear cover. Minor foxing. Moderate to heavy chipping and tearing along the wrapper extremities, with minor loss, including some loss to the head and tail of the spine. Interior solid with some browning to the paper.
