The wrappers with lightly bumped spine head and tail, with virtually unbumped corners. The text block consists of stapled signature sheets. 122 numbered pages. The text provides substantial scholarly commentary and elucidation. 55 rugs and carpets are studied in this work. With color frontispiece [apparently a chromolithograph], three color plates and two half tones, and numerous monochrome plates, all full-page on lightly coated stock. A few of the plates have a note in pencil at the page bottom, such as "End of the 16th century." The rear wrapper with extensive carpet notes in a light pencil hand. Else an exceptionally clean copy. A very gently read book. A Very Good copy.
