First cheap edition. Lacking jacket. Purple cloth binding with gilt spine. Fading to spine and board edges. Slight staining to spine and spine edge of rear board. Good solid binding, a little light foxing to text. Complete with 16 colour plates and 15 illustrations within the text. Previous owner's bookplate to front pastedown endpaper (Henry Dexter Truscott). Overall condition is Very Good Minus. Please Note: This is a heavy item and international postage will be more than the standard rate for non-European destinations. Hardcover. Condition: Good. No Jacket. Cecil Aldin (illustrator). In a purple hardcover with gilt titles and decoration to spine and gilt titles to front. No dust jacket. Colour illustrations to end papers. 111 pp., gilt top edged, with 16 colour plates and 15 black and white plates. The book is in good condition. There is minor shelf-wear to the extremities of the cover with minor damage to the head and tail of the spine, the cover is quite heavily sun damaged. The front hinge is beginning to crack but the binding is tight. There are a few spots of foxing to the fore edge, otherwise the pages are clean and unmarked. Seller Inventory # 912426
