About the Author: Ruth Tiller is the author of CATS VANISH SLOWLY and CINNAMON, MINT, AND MOTHBALLS, which was featured as a "Flying Start" selection in Publishers Weekly. A native of Utica, NY, she holds a Master's degree in English Literature from Georgia State University. Tiller lives in Atlanta, where she works as a poetry workshop leader in schools.

Laura L. Seeley, a native of Andover Massachusetts, holds a degree in Fine Arts for the Rochester Institute of Technology. She was named 1992 Writer and Illustrator of the Year by the Atlanta branch of the National League of American Pen Women for THE MAGICAL MOONBALLS, and was named1991 Georgia Author of the Year for Juvenile Books for THE BOOK OF SHADOWBOXES. She has also illustrated CHRISTMAS AND THE OLD HOUSE by country music star Mister Tom T. Hall and AGATHA'S FEATHER BED: Not Just Another Wild Goose Story by professional storyteller, Carmen Agra Deedy. Seeley lives in Atlanta, Georgia, and teaches at the Atlanta College of Art.
