Book Description Laura R. Krehbiel, Clayton, New Mexico, (1939). Octavo. Signed by Jack Potter. 87p. illustrated by Wildred Stedman. Folding map in back is pristine with no flaws. Greatly expanded from the 1935 edition, Ramon Adams notes this edition is scarce. The accounts of the old Cattle Drives and the great legends made this a favorite of J. Frank Dobie. The book closes with how the Railroads in expanding civilization also ended the days of the cattle drives. Bound in beige pictorial cloth depicting a roping cowboy on a horse lettering red, some light finger soiling of toning. A very nice copy.Herd 1821. Bookseller Inventory # 016206
