In a clear protective Brodart mylar cover. This excellent author's third novel. John Truck is a space bum, but he was the last of the Centaurans, at least half of him. Only a sentiuent could set off the bomb, and the Israeli World government wanted him, but the United Arab Socialist Republic wnated him too - and the bomb. Some soiling to rear flap of dj, small stain to dj spine, remainder spray to bottom page edge, and wear to spine ends of dj, otherwise this is a fine copy in a clear protective Brodart mylar cover. About this title:

Synopsis:

John Truck was to outward appearances just another lowlife spaceship captain. But he was also the last of the Centaurans - or at least, half of him was - which meant that he was the only person who could operate the Centauri Device, a sentient bomb which might hold the key to settling a vicious space war. M. John Harrison's classic novel turns the conventions of space opera on their head, and is written with the precision and brilliance for which is famed.
