Synopsis: Chagall loved color blue. Chagall´s trip started in Russia, where he was born, and ended in Paris. This book follows Chagall´s work, from his first artworks, his discovery of the United States and his passion for France. He never affiliated to any political movement, but was influenced by his encounters with Bakst, Matisse and Picasso. Chagall can be considered as the poetry painter.

About the Author: Sylvie Forestier was curator at the Chagall Museum in Nice, France. Mikhail Guerman is an Artistic Culture professor, at the Education School of San Petersburg University. Member of the Art Critics International Organization. He has wrote more than 30 books and many articles about Russian art. Donald Wigal is a retired professor of Theology, Music and Art. He has contributed with biographies of many great artists, in various encyclopedias.
