In-4° (285x195mm), pp. (10), 186, brossura editoriale a risvolti con illustrazione policroma. Ritratto dell'autore inciso all'antiporta. Testo entro filetto tipografico. Numerose illustrazioni litografiche a tinta sanguigna n.t. e 11 f.t. di Boûûaert. Perfetto esemplare a fogli sciolti, conservato entro bellissima camicia editoriale cartonata con illustrazioni policrome di Boûûaert raffiguranti Eva avvolta dalle spire del serpente e sorreggente la mela nella mano destra e custodia cartonata con eguali illustrazioni. Tiratura di 150 esemplari (n° 127 dei 60 sur vélin). Poema religioso su Adamo, Eva e il Peccato Originale del celebre poeta simbolista belga Van Lerberghe (Gent, 1861-Bruxelles, 1907). Le litografie vennero biffate dopo la stampa. La cura tipografica del volume è dovuta a Jacques Willems e a Édouard Hochstadter. Il Boûûaert (1881-1948) fu un pittore e illustratore belga; assai scarse le notizie sulla sua biografia. Bookseller Inventory # 27424

Galleria Gilibert antiquarian bookshop was opened in 1992 by the late Alfredo Gilibert, great bibliophile and collector throughout his life of all forms of art on paper. His son Massimo now owns and runs the bookshop and continues the family tradition of locating and providing books and prints to collectors around the world. Galleria Gilibert has been a member of L.I.L.A. since 1997. The bookshop occupies two floors in the magnificent gallery Galleria Subalpina in the heart of Turin, between two of the city's most important squares: Piazza Castello and Piazza Carlo Alberto. It is very close to the Biblioteca Reale, the famous Egyptian museum, and the Galleria Sabauda. We also participate in a number of book fairs each year, most notably those in Milan, Turin, and Paris.
