About the Author:

I am a new writer from Staten Island, NY, where I live with my husband and eight cats. For the past several years I have been reading, taking classes, and studying spiritual matters. I have also spent seven years in a Wiccan coven. Currently, I am a member of a Reformed Jewish synagogue called The Shul of New York, where I study Torah with Rabbi Burt Siegel. These different experiences have led me to view the world in a way I never did before. The idea for this story began when my daughter became engaged and I started thinking about my future grandchildren. I thought that by writing a story that incorporated all I learned, they would understand their grandmother better. Whether they follow my path, or forge their own, I hope that my story will encourage them to live their lives with courage and a brave heart. About the Illustrator My love of illustration began when I was a child, when my best friend, Blima's daughter Andrea, and I would sit together for hours and draw pictures of made-up people. Though I did not pursue art as my profession, I still consider drawing to be one of my favorite hobbies. I am currently pursuing a career in massage therapy, and I look forward to working with Blima on future creative works
