Most of the characters doomed young war heroes still hungering for excitement. These stories also include elements of fantasy & horror, particularly - 'Ancient Sin' & 'The Loquacious Lady of Lansdowne Passage'. It also includes 'When The Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square' which was the inspiration for the now well known song. 260 pages. 19.8 x 14.5cm. Hand cut pages. Condition: Cloth cover cracked bottom seam right, webbing showing. Wear on spine, sides + corners. Blooming speckles on cloth. Owner name o/p. Tear bottom o/p. Cracked down seam of title page, webbing showing. End papers tanned. Foxing to a few pages + small grubby marks on some. Page edges discoloured collectively with age. Overall clean. Binding holding.
