About this Item

10 volume set in extremely attractive binding. Leather spines and corners. Marbled paper over boards and as endpapers. Spines with gold lettering and interesting twining flower decoration, more art deco than Victorian. Bindings cleans and tight. Each volume is 5.75 x 8.75. It sits on 13" of shelf space. Printed in Philadelphia. Text in English. A limited edition of 1,000 copies, printed on Japanese Vellum paper. This is set number 188. Two sets of each engraving. Contents are: Bohemian Life by Henri Murger; The Confession of a Child of the Century by Alfred du Musset; His Excellency the Minister by Jules Claretie, Monsieur de Camors by Octave Feiullet; Nouvelles by Alfed du Musset; Raphael by Alphonse de Lamartine; Gerfaut by Charles de Bernard; Miltonia by Theophile Gautier; The Devil's Pool by George Sand; and King of Camargue by Jean Aicard. Please email with questions or to request photos. Extra shipping will be required, since it's a 10 volume set. I have another set with a nearly matching binding, which looks nice next to this one. I'd love to tell you about it. Bookseller Inventory # Fred-Sets47
