Brown cloth boards have bright gilt lettering on the ront cover and spine. Front cover has two small black spots, as well as a few faint scratches and scuffs on both covers. Lower extremities and corners are very slightly rubbed. Head and foot of spine are slightly bumped and rubbed. Former owner's address stamp on half title p. Former bookseller's stamp on the half title p. and again on p.vii of the table of contents. Very faint, small damp stain in the leading edge of the text.
