Wrappers lightly sunned, else very good. The family of Richard Chenoweth, builder of Fort Nelson, were attacked by Indians on 17 July 1789. Three of Chenoweth's children were killed and his wife was scalped but survived. It was the last Indian raid in Jefferson County, Kentucky. Bookseller Inventory # 69886
