The contents are clean and bright. Publisher's red cloth backed boards, very slightly faded, the upper cover with the author's names and title in gilt. Corners bumped with the boards peeping through, head of the spine with a small chip.White endpapers with the sliver of a remaining pasted in label. A four page Subscriber's List suggests a limitation in the numbers printed. Printed in Huddersfield by Wheatley. A near very good copy of an uncommon book. The book contains 51 two-movers,16 three-movers, 14 self- mates and 7 others, some chess puzzles, a number of chess sketches involving problems, chess poems, and 6 games. Solutions appear at the end.
